Those Addictive Little Quizzes

myjaxon April 5th, 2009

Jesse has been getting annoyed with me lately.  I’ve been finding all sorts of fun little quizzes to do on Facebook and have been flooding his news feed with them.  At least, that’s what he says.  I don’t do them very often, but when I get in the mood to do one, I tend to do a lot of them.  What can I say.  They show you which other ones are available and some of them are kind of fun.

I just came across this one over at Trish P’s LJ page and it’s another amusing one.  It’s a What Herb Are You? quiz and it’s kind of weird how it picked one that I love.  I’m a huge fan of mint anything.  Mint Chocolate, Mint Ice Cream, Mint Oreo cookies.  That was probably the only real craving I had while I was pregnant – Cookie Mintser from Coldstone Creamery.

Mmm…mint.  I just thought of something.  Mint No Bake Cookies.  Jesse is always having me make these, but I wonder why I never thought about adding a little mint to the recipe before.  Uh oh Jesse, I’m thinking of playing with your no-bake recipe (we’ll see if he actually reads this or just skims though it).  I may have to try this and see what happens.  You never know it may be good – as long as I don’t overdo the mint.  :)

You Are Mint

You are a honest person with a strong personality. Your frank point of view is refreshing.

You’ve been quite lucky in your life, though you have made more of your own luck than you realize. You are engaging and disarming. You definitely have the “gift of gab!”

You live an edgy, dynamic life. Sometimes you get a little burned, but you always bounce back.

Sometimes I Wonder…

Holy Catfish! I just returned from my daily swim on the beautiful Fijian beach and realised I have not updated this since they let me out!… You would not believe the amount of people that are totally stalking me. Seriously!.

I am lost in a sea of pseudo-olde-english with discovering time doesn’t stand still, selling my soul to Google, just generally being a slave to society in general, my day seems to involve the authorities from the moment my children manage to unlock my bedroom door and use me as a jumping castle to I am begging my kid to go to sleep or so help me God that kid will be decorating my wall, ‘Duct tape still life’. I am avoiding recapture. I need a holiday.

I swear on the bones of my ancestors I will update you with my nefarious activities as soon as I get a chance. Seriously! What do you mean you don’t believe me?

Oh yeah, this is awesome!

I need…

So I’ve been seeing this one going around Facebook for awhile and finally succumbed to the urge to finally do it.  It’s actually really simple, but the first time I did the search, nothing interesting came up.  This time around, I think I ended up with some good ones.

The basic idea is to go to Google and type in “[your name] needs” and see what comes up.

This is easy. Go to Google and type in your name needs in quotes and see what it comes up with (example “Jackie needs”).  So this is what came up in my search.  Jackie Needs is in front of all of these…

  1. a friend – Mmmm….I thought I was doing okay in the friend department.  Obviously Google doesn’t seem to think so.
  2. …help answering a bunch of Q&As for a profile – well, for the first time I’m doing a meme that doesn’t require me to answer any questions.
  3. …to bake enough cookies – yeah, like I don’t do that enough.
  4. a loving home – I would prefer to keep the one I have, however, if I can get something bigger with a room full of built-in bookshelves, I would so not complain.
  5. a reality check – only if you look at my TBR list or my checking account.
  6. a drink – I fullfilled this last night, so I think I can hold off on the drink for a little bit longer
  7. you – I will never turn down an extra pair of hands. Although Sesame Street and the Muppets have been helping on this front.
  8. saving – you name it, I could probably be saved from it.
  9. to be on her guard – from what?  Who is out to get me now?  Is some hot vampire/shapeshifter/warlock/whatever going to show up and make my life more complicated?  Mmm…trying to think if that is a bad thing.
  10. rescuing or attention – wouldn’t it be nice to be the one who gets all the attention again?

Here’s how it works:

  1. Open your music library (Amarok, iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
  2. Put it on shuffle
  3. Press play
  4. For every question, type the song that’s playing
  5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
  6. Don’t lie and try to pretend your cool…just type it in man!
